Chief, Maintenance Engineering, 2003-2004

• Directed team of 30 engineers to provide real property maintenance for 1,200 facilities totaling 15 million square feet.
• Optimized $14 million infrastructure maintenance program.
• Managed base-wide Geographic Information System implementation; co-authored “GeoBase Implementation at Yokota AB” and briefed 80 attendees at Japan Defense Users Conference in Tokyo.

Chief, Base Development, Balad Southeast AB, Iraq, 2003

• Led deployment of 55 engineers to establish airlift capability in Iraq’s Sunni Triangle region.
• Constructed 700-person tent city ahead of schedule under adverse conditions that included 50% manpower and hostile fire.
• Designed and managed construction of an 840,000 gallon aviation fuel storage complex and a ramp taxiway which increased aircraft parking capacity from two to three wide-body aircraft.

• Delivered anti-terrorism & nuclear, biological and chemical warfare training to 6,400 Department of Defense personnel in the National Capitol Region.

• Deployed 2,000 engineers & 1,885 tons of equipment in first 60 days of Operation Enduring Freedom.
